A paper trading app for crypto futures. It runs on the exchange infrastructure built for Minute.

Built with
Android, Minute’s exchange infrastructure

I wanted people to be able to try crypto futures without risking real money on their first trades.

Instead of simulating fills against a price chart, Cryptathon runs on Minute’s exchange infrastructure. Orders sit in a real order book and match against market makers and other players. There are free-entry tournaments too.

How I built it

Coding agents wrote the code. Everything else was my job: the architecture, splitting the product into pieces an agent could build, reviewing what came back, debugging the integration with Minute, testing, and shipping it.

Working this way, one person can own a whole product and still answer for whether it works.

The app

Cryptathon home screen with a virtual balance, daily activities, and open positions
Home: balance, activities, open positions.
Cryptathon trading screen with a Solana chart, order book, and buy and sell buttons
Trade: chart, order book, and order controls.

How it works

  1. 1.

    Start with play money

A guest account gets a virtual balance. No sign-up or deposit.

  2. 2.

    Place an order

Pick BTC, ETH, or SOL futures, go long or short, and place a market or limit order.

  3. 3.

    Manage the position

Set take-profit and stop-loss, and see how leverage, funding, and liquidation affect it.
